U.S. Embassy Port-au-Prince Resumes All Non-Immigrant Visa Services

U.S. Embassy Port-au-Prince Resumes All Non-Immigrant Visa Services
On Monday April 5, 2010, the Embassy of the United States will resume processing all non-immigrant visas, including standard tourist and business visas (B1/B2).
All applicants must schedule appointments using our online appointment website http://evisaforms.state.gov/SchedulingSystem.asp. For complete instructions on how to schedule online appointments, please refer to the Embassy’s website http://haiti.usembassy.gov.
Applicants may begin scheduling appointments for tourist visas (B1/B2) starting immediately, for April 5 and later interview dates.
Please be advised that applicants wishing to renew full-validity B1/B2 visas (visas valid for 5 years) must follow the procedures above. We are no longer accepting applications for renewals directly from travel agencies.
Applicants who are seeking appointments before April 5 for urgent business travel or for student, exchange visitor and other non-immigrant visas which require an approved petition by U.S. immigration can continue to request appointments by sending an e-mail to PAPNIV@state.gov. However, all visa applicants in these categories wishing to travel after April 5 must schedule the appointment using our online appointment website.
All visa applicants will need to complete and print out the electronic version of the application form (DS-156) available online at: http://evisaforms.state.gov. They must bring their passport along with a recent passport-style photo (50mm x 50mm), proof of payment of the application fee paid at Sogebank, a passport that is valid for at least six months after the desired period of stay in the U.S., and any documents which would prove strong ties to Haiti.
